RGUC is committed to protecting the user's privacy. We will only use the information that it collects lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act).


Cookie policy

The law requires all websites to ask for a user's permission if any types of cookie are left on their devices for the first time. A cookie is a small text file placed on a user’s device (which can be a desktop computer, mobile device, tablet, etc.) that is used to track certain site usage behaviours. This can include:

  • Remembering user settings between visits, i.e. such as language selection, saving log on details, buying behaviours.

This website uses an authentication cookie to allow you to log in.


How to reject cookies?

If you wish to restrict or block the cookies which are used on the DAL, or other websites, you can do this through your browser settings. The Help function within your browser will explain how to do this.

Links on the DAL that go to external websites such as client's websites may use internal and external links that use cookies. RGUC cannot be held responsible for these cookies. Please view the terms and conditions or privacy policy on these websites for further information on their cookie policy.


User's data

We collect information about the user, to process the users request to log on to the DAL. The type of information RGUC will collect about the user includes:

  • Name
  • Department
  • Organisation
  • Telephone Number
  • Email Address
  • Supporting Information (to verify the user is authorised to register onto the DAL)

The information RGUC holds will be accurate and up to date. DAL users can check the information that RGUC holds about them via email.

The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust data protection policy

The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust (DGH) is registered to process personal and sensitive personal data under the Data Protection Act 1998 (data controller).

We collect data on our patients for the purposes of care and treatment and to audit that care and treatment. We may use personal and sensitive personal data for the purposes of teaching and research, but we will only do this with the consent of the patient and/or their carer where applicable.

We will use anonymised data wherever possible to protect patient confidentiality. DGH may share information with other NHS or social care organisations for the purposes of ongoing care and treatment. You will always be informed of this and given the opportunity to object. We will also give out information as required by law, for example to comply with a court order.


Virus protection

We make every effort to check and test material at all stages of production. It is always wise for you to run an anti-virus programme on all material downloaded from the internet. We cannot accept any responsibility for any loss, disruption or damage to your data or your computer system that may occur while using material derived from the DAL.
